As a Community Church, we really value our community and welcome opportunities to reach out and be actively involved . One of our core values is to be a church that is connected with each other, in our church family and the local community.
With no physical church building, we love to be out and about, enjoying relationships with many families across the estate through our busy breakfast club, toddler group and our monthly community lunch.
We really appreciate the friendships we have with local schools and care homes and the amazing teachers and staff. It's always a pleasure to lead assemblies, assist with RE lessons and provide educational music and movement sessions for the schools as well as the opportunity to regularly visit the care homes.
As an intergenerational church, one of the highlights is being able to connect children and young people with the elderly in a shared sense of community, respect and appreciation. Children from Croftlands Infant School regularly come to sing at our monthly community lunch and their visits are much looked forward to.
We also look forward to repeating a pre-covid opportunity where we were able to visit Elmhurst Care Home with a group of mums and toddlers to make music together and share tea and cake! These visits were memorable and meaningful for everyone involved.
The annual lantern festival is always greatly anticipated, and our young people (and some not so young) set themselves the challenge of building a giant lantern in order to be part of the procession heading into town from Croftlands.
